Celebrate 4th of july in maui with Pēpē

Lahaina’s fireworks are offically back for 2022!

Lahaina is where to go if you're seeking Fourth of July celebrations. The town's afternoon/evening block celebration is one of the biggest of the year with an estimated 20,000 attendees. Around 8:00 pm, a large fireworks show takes place. This fireworks display, which is launched from a boat near the coast, is one you shouldn't miss after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Direct your attention on Front Street if you're seeking excitement. A few restaurants feature oceanfront seating, including Fleetwoods on Front Street, Kimo's, Papa Aina and Lahaina Fish Co., which is fantastic for getting a drink and seeing the show. Choose a customized boat excursion for an evening that will be unforgettable. Sunset cruises give you a front-row view of the pyrotechnics and depart from Lahaina and Maalaea Harbors.

Live music in Campbell Park begins at 5:00pm and is sponsored by Lahaina Restoration Foundation and Lahaina Rotary Clubs featuring the Chop Suey Jazz Orchestra, Na Alii Big Band, and the Maui Community Band.

The annual Fourth of July rodeo is held in the little upcountry community of Makawao. Although this rodeo is billed as a Fourth of July celebration, the dates of this year's activities are July 1 through July 3. The Fourth of July has no events.

Along with the rodeo, there will be pre-show entertainment featuring barrel racing, calf roping, and bareback bronco riding, along with food, drinks, and non-stop entertainment.
